Come get a tour of the farm and learn about the opportunities to serve here at Freedom Farm! Gardening, horse management team, building projects, permaculture gardening, orchard and food forest planting projects, farm organization, event planning, event service, admin, social media support ... lots of fun places to plug in and become part of a healthy, supportive community serving women and children in the Grand Traverse area.
Once we've toured the farm and shared about the various volunteer opportunities, you can sign up for further training and start plugging in! We are poised for huge growth this year and are excited to partner with people who have big hearts and willing hands. This is a perfect opportunity for school and church groups, youth groups, adult service organizations, master gardeners, families and friends, etc. to serve our community, especially women and children.
These are some of the projects we'll be working on this year to expand the infrastructure here at the farm that will care for our therapy animals and gardens and facilitate Freedom Farm programs ... if you're interested in permaculture, you're a gardener, orchardist, builder, etc, and like projects you can take on and work on independently or with a small team, check out these projects:
